Iím looking to lower my bike about an inch front and rear.  The stock XS500 upper tree isnít flat and Iím not really a fan of the way it looks dripping down and anyways.  Iíve seen several flat uppers for the XS650 that would allow the forks to be raised up through the lower trees and not stick out of the top of the flat upper tree. 

I know they are the same 35mm forks but not sure about the offset.  Iím not concerned that I would lose the built in handle bar mounts.

They are 10mm wider so you need the under bracket too. I have them on my bike so that I could use an XS850 tubeless front wheel that is wider at the hub. I have an old post that gives more details that I'll look up and add the link.
