Cold weather riding
« on: January 01, 2018, 06:05:29 PM »
So whatís the coldest anyone has riden and with what kind of oil? I ask because Iím in Virginia just outside of Washington DC and itís cold right now. I have 20w50 in it right now and itís like molasses. I saw the recommended 10w30 in the FSM but am unsure whether that would make much difference. Thoughts.

Always run 10/40.  Isn't that what the book says for one of the last one, a 78 E.
One of the Boys from the Wall.
XS500E - 1978 vintage
Aprillia Shiver 750 - 3,600 miles.
Moto Guzzi Breva V750ie - 2005 vintage - sold.
