Rear Wheel Bearings
« on: March 23, 2015, 12:44:55 PM »
Hi
I have had the cast wheels on my C powder coated and I am now trying to reassemble.
When I put the bearings into the front, I noticed the centre spacer (between the bearings) had a removable collar at each end to ensure the spacer stayed in the middle of the bearing.
I do not have the same for the rear. Should there be two more of these little bits of tin to keep the central spindle in position. I wont be refitting the wheels for a few weeks and I would hate for the spacer to drop out of alignments and have to drift my new bearings out.

Hi Andy. The rear spacer does not have does not get a flange spacer like on the front. The online parts lists drawings are your friend for these old bikes.
