Yamaha's official name for the 1976 brown colour
« on: October 28, 2012, 09:35:30 PM »
I just found out that Yamaha's official name for this colour was..."Marge Brown" !?!?

Now you would thnk that whoever thought up THAT name would have been fired, but he/she went on to create "New Marge Brown" and "Mat New Marge Brown" too!!! I would have preferred something that sounded a little less like a minister's wife.
Maybe they should have gone with "Coffee brown" or "Cadbury brown".  James Brown?

HAHA!!  ;D That's great. I'll remember that one. What's the difference between Marge and New Marge? I've got one or the other. I think I can figure out what Matte is, but what's the difference between Marge and Marge Jr.?
'76 XS500C - Daily rider. Mostly stock. I actually like Marge Brown.
