HI 1973 TX500
« on: August 21, 2014, 05:07:41 AM »
I have pulled my 1973 TX500 out from my shed, and starting to bring it back to life. I started with sonic cleaning of the carbs. I hopped on and tried to kick it over to get thing lubed up for a trail start, but.... it is seized. Now I am working on that while trying to be patient "its not coming very easy thou". I have PB Blaster in the cylinders now and one of them let the fluid walk through, but the other is still hanging around. I am putting heat to the one side of the jug that is giving me the problem "I think". I am looking for a compression adapter for the air compressor so I can put pressure to the piston. Hoping to get it unseized with out ripping out and tearing apart the engine.
