Quick Fuel Line Question
« on: August 22, 2016, 06:52:36 PM »

I'm gonna make this short as possible. I have a '73 TX500. I decided to replace the rusted, scratched and dented gas tank.

After looking on eBay, I found a great tank that has been treated for rust, primed and sanded. My only concern is that one of the petcocks has been removed and the fuel line looks to have been sealed off (pic attached). My question (probably a stupid one) is will the bike still function with a single fuel line? If so, are that are drawbacks?

I bought a set of petcocks just in case i'll need to replace them but will try to avoid doing so if I can get away with.

Thanks

Because of the depth of the tank saddles running one petcock will not drain all of the gas in the tank in the side with no petcock. So get another one to use all of the tank capacity.
