Tick over speed
« on: February 20, 2018, 04:00:56 PM »
Hi, I have recently recommissioned my 1973 tx500,the Bike is running great apart from the fact that I cannot get it to run under three thousand revs,I have backed off the adjustment all the way and checked for air leaks and backed off the cables so there is plenty of slack but it still won’t come down,is there any more adjustment at all, many thanks, dave

Cant get it to run you mean it dies at under 3000 rpm or it wont start with idle lower than that?

It sounds also as a fuel supply problem.

Could your choke be stuck on?

That could explain running over 3.000 t/mn, and stalling under.

Sorry... 3.000 rpm...

3.000 t/mn is french!  ;)
