New XS500 kid on the block
« on: April 10, 2018, 09:58:29 PM »
Hello All

I am the new and very proud owner of an XS500 ‘old knacker’ it looks like a 1978 from the UK Resgistration plate?, this is a Garage buy from a Guy who never got round to fixing it up and needed to move on.
So a picture is attatched of him (I hope) and I will get some more as I get around to it.
So here I go, will I keep it standard as I think its the best colour for an XS and its missing next nothing or do I chop it up ! Cafe Racer style
I am sure there will be mixed opinions on that lol 😂 but what ever I do I will do it with simpathy for the original bike as they are soooo retro cool like most Yamahas are or are going to be.
Site looks nice, friendly and informative I am happy to be a member already 👍
Now I better go and check out what this Oil filter thing is all about so I can get a fix inplace for us and of cause think of a name for me new bike.
