74 tx500 a project

I thought I'd share sum pics of my project. I kno that alot of u are "all original" guys when it comes to these bikes, and I surely respect that....but I'm just not that guy....I'm doing more of a brat style...anyway I'll be adding pics as the bike progresses....here's what she looked like when I got her home..

I discovered that the float tower on left carb had broken off and been repaired by po...which worked good enough for me to get the bike running before starting into the project..

I was able to buy a set of stock carbs cheap so I decided to try the stock carbs,, I can always buy vm32s later

I media blasted and painted the lower forks/fork legs or whatever u choose to call it..replaced seals..added preload...fork oil is 125ml of 10w/40 + 25ml of 30w...ill get sum pics up soon

So far so good....

Make sure you stick a new condenser in as well, often overlooked and they’re not expensive to change. From your photo it looks old.

After sand blasting, painting lower legs, New fork seals, wipers, braided brake line, caliper rebuild, and fork boots.
