Oil Pump Assembly
« on: October 17, 2018, 01:24:31 PM »
I have a couple of questions concerning the re-assembly of the oil pump on my '73 TX500.  One rotor assembly has a arrow stamped on each piece and I understand they should be aligned on re-assembly.  Does this rotor assembly fit into the case or the rotor housing?  Also, the inner part of the assembly is machined out.  Does it face up or down?  The other rotor assembly does not have any markings on the two pieces.  Once again, does it fit in the case or the rotor housing?  Thanks in advance for any help I receive.  Rich

Sorry.  Just realized the rotor assemblies are of different heights so they can only go in one way.  Am I to assume the arrows on the one rotor assembly point up?
