What color wire is the turn signal?
With 4 wires, Black=Ground, Yellow =Turn signal light, White=Running light, Red=Brake light.
Which turn signal wire is positive?
Green is the positive. Having three wires on the new signals is just plain weird. DC on has a positive and negative, so there should not be a separate one for ground. Try your red (positive) and black (negative) hookup first, without the black white stripe and see if they fire up.
Why does my turn signal have 3 wires?
The stock signals are 2 wires. The third wire is for running lights as mentioned. If you do want the running lights, then connect the 3rd wire to your tailight (not the brake light) wire and you’l have running lights (or ‘marker’ lights).

You would attach the bike brake light wire to the red wire on the harness. Attach the motorcycle left turn signal wire to the harness yellow wire. Connect motorcycle right turn signal wire to the harness green wire. The running light wire will bypass this converter.
Do I need a relay for brake lights?
You only need a Brake-Lite Relay if you’re installing a supplemental towed vehicle braking system that pushes or pulls the brake pedal. With the engine off, step on your brakes. If the brake lights do not illuminate, you do not need a Brake-lite Relay.
